Our Head of Operations Troy joined City Beach 23 years ago as a full-time sales assistant before making the move into our Men's Buying team in Head Office and working his way up to his current role which sees him working with our Directors and the Heads of Department to set the strategic plan for City Beach. And for Troy it's these unique growth opportunities that people may not realise about a career with City Beach "Your path is not set in stone; you can change lanes and succeed." Which is why he encourages Team Members to speak up and make themselves, their strengths and their goals known.
So how would he describe City Beach? "In one word, alive! There's never a dull moment, we move quickly and we're young at heart, even after so many years."

Dee, our Head of Commercial and Compliance, has been City Beach for 20 years. Starting as full-time sales assistant in our Queen Street store, Dee worked in several of our stores before moving into Compliance. As Head of Commercial and Compliance Dee manages our Compliance, Buying Support, Front of House, and Audit Teams, overseeing the Company’s inventory and inventory systems, working closely with IT to refine systems and ensuring that our Front of House service is first class!
For Dee, no two days are the same, which is one of things she loves about her role at City Beach ‘I love that I get to work with most Departments as part of my role and this provides a never-ending learning opportunity. I love that I can come to work each day and it never feels the same!”
What advice would Dee give someone interested in a career with City Beach? “Apply for a role that you are suited for but remain open minded once you’re in the door because you never know where you could end up. If you are willing to learn and work hard to achieve your goals, City Beach has the opportunities!”

As Head of Content & Marketing Talia is responsible for overseeing all things content including graphic design, video, social & the studio content production for our website product imagery.
For Talia, City Beach is about thriving in the chaos. ‘What I love most is that City Beach operates like a 30+ year old start-up. I love how innovative and reactive we are, it allows us to remain relevant to our target market by adjusting our strategy where necessary. We don't operate on a 3-year plan, and I love that. E-Commerce & Social Media change so quickly, so it's imperative to be able to pivot quickly and adopt the right initiatives for growth. It can be crazy, but I love the crazy, it's refreshing for me!’
For Talia, City Beach is the place to be if you’re looking to learn, grow and evolve in your career. ‘If you want to learn and be a part of a fashion company that is evolving and innovative, this is the company to work for. You aren't stuck in one lane. You have opportunities to work with different teams and take on new projects. If you have new ideas and want to test something, you have the opportunity to do so.
